Tea recipe: Alladin it!

A tea recipe from the book “50 ways to drink Tea”

2, 1/2 cups of fresh water

2 tsp black loose tea leaves

1 tsp of anise seeds

2 tsp cardamom seeds

2-4 tsp of white sugar

Mellow dates

Preparation: Bring water to a boil and remove it from fire. Toss all the ingredients in a pot (except sugar and mellow dates) and pour hot water over them. Stir well and let the herbs steep for about 10 minutes, until the tea becomes strong with a dark caramel colour. Strain the mixture into a ceramic teapot.

Pour the tea into glass tea cups and serve it hot with 1-2 teaspoons of sugar in each glass!

Serve this “Arabian” tea in glass cups with mellow dates on the side! Enjoy!
