Spices: add beneficial properties to your tea!

Spices can give a special flavor to your tea but they are also very beneficial to your health.
tea-and-spicesThey have been used since the ancient times for flavor improvement and for medical purposes too. Some of them help against cancer and kill germs while others reduce cholesterol or improve blood circulation.
Let me give you some examples:
Blood circulation (black pepper, cinnamon, ginger),
Blood Sugar (cinnamon),
Cholesterol (cinnamon),
Colds and flues (anise, black pepper, ginger),
Digestion (black pepper, cardamom, fennel, nutmeg),
Heart (cardamom),
Immune system (ginger),
Kidney (cardamom, fennel, nutmeg),
Lungs (cardamom),
Metabolism (black pepper),
Migraine (ginger),
Mood (cardamom),
Pains (clove, ginger, nutmeg),
Vitality (cinnamon)
These are few of the beneficial properties examples and you will find plenty more if you do your own research.
Don’t be afraid to try some new combinations with green, black, red or white tea; just let your imagination guide you.

Always remember though not to use large quantities of spices and herbs because too much of anything can be harmful instead of beneficial. If you have medical problems always consider your therapist’s opinion first.
