..with rosemary. A hair mask you can prepare at home, for strong and shiny hair.

1/2 cup olive oil

1 tbsp dried rosemary

½ teaspoon lanolin

1 egg yolk

1 lemon juice

Preparation: Boil rosemary in 3/4 cup of water, remove from fire, let it stand for about 1/2 hour and strain. Allow to cool and mix with the remaining ingredients. Spread the mask to your hair and leave it on for about 20-30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse.

  1. Nice! Might try this. Also Apple Cider Vinegar is awesome for hair as well! It also makes my soft and shiny. My hair is really oily. I need to do some research of my own to find a solution for that. I like making my own recipes. Will share them at some point.

    • A hairdresser told me once that if someone wants to treat oil hair, they shouldn’t try to remove oiliness but add more. It’s kind of homeopathetic treatment. So, maybe you should try this oily mask. Remember, when it’s time to remove it, wash your hair only with shampoo (no water), shampoo well and then rinse with water.

  2. Do you just leave the rosemary out if your hair is light colored, or would that have a negative effect on the way the mask works? I’d love to try this except that my hair is blond, so I hesitate.

    • You can reduse it to 1tsp and add 1 tbsp dried chamomile. Rosemary won’t make your hair dark or something; if someone wants to enhance their hair color, rosemary is suggested better for darker hair as chamomile for blond.
